In celebration of World Rivers Day 2019 here is a view of the Columbia River at Invermere, BC. Lake Windermere is in the distance, which in reality is a shallow, wide part of the river. In the foreground is one of the many vast wetland areas that comprise the world renown Columbia Wetlands. Bordered by the Canadian Rockies to the east and the Purcells to the west the upper Columbia watershed is so unique and special. May we all care for it with the love and respect it deserves and may the salmon return to these waters very soon.
