The Columbia Wetlands full of runoff from the melting snowpack

As the remaining snowpack rapidly melts in the Purcells and the Rockies, the Columbia Wetlands have filled with water.  I love this brief period of time each year when the wetlands are flooded.

Here are some images from the evening of May 25, 2018 taken near the clubhouse at Eagle Ranch golf course.  Eagle Ranch's location provides an excellent elevated 360-degree view of the Rockies, Lake Windermere, the wetlands, Invermere, Wilmer and the Purcell Mountains.

The evening light  was enhanced by broken cloud filtering, dispersing and reflecting the rays of the setting sun.
